Overview

About Corrugated Mailer Box

A mailer box is cut from a single piece of corrugated board and folds into a box with a hinged lid that tucks closed. There is no glue seam and no tape, which means there is also no seam to fail somewhere in a courier network.

For e-commerce it does two jobs at once. It protects the product in transit, and it is the first physical thing the customer touches — which is why the inside of a mailer is worth printing. A single Pantone colour on the interior costs less than most people assume and changes the opening entirely.

Sizing is the decision that matters most. A mailer close to the product needs less void fill and can keep a consignment out of a higher dimensional weight band.

Why this packaging

Why choose a corrugated mailer box

No seam to fail

Cut as one piece, so there is no glued join that can separate under handling or humidity.

The unboxing is part of the product

The inside of the lid is the first surface a customer sees. Printing it is one of the most economical brand impressions available.

Right-sizing saves money twice

A box sized to the product needs less void fill and can avoid a higher dimensional weight band with the courier.

Manufacturing

Produced at our Ajman facility

Printed, die cut and creased as a single blank at our Ajman facility, then supplied flat. Because there is no gluing operation, the die and the crease positions carry all the accuracy — a crease slightly out of position makes a mailer that will not close square.

We sample before production so the fold and the closure are confirmed by hand.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What size mailer box do I need?

As close to the product as packing allows. Send the dimensions of what you are shipping including any wrap or tissue, and we will work back to an internal size. Every extra centimetre costs board, void fill and courier weight.

Can you print the inside of the box?

Yes, and for e-commerce it is usually worth it. A single Pantone colour or a printed message inside the lid is a modest cost increase for a large change in how the delivery feels.

Do mailer boxes need tape?

Not to close — the lid tucks in. Many brands add a printed sticker or tape across the closure as a tamper indicator and a branding opportunity, but structurally it is not required.

How strong is a mailer box?

Strong enough for normal courier handling when the flute and board are matched to the weight. For heavy or fragile items we would specify a heavier flute or recommend an insert.
