About Straight Tuck End Box
On a straight tuck end carton, the top and bottom flaps both fold in from the rear panel. That single detail is the whole point of the format: because neither tuck originates at the front, the front panel has no visible flap edge running across it.
For a product where the front face carries the brand and the shelf impression, that clean panel is worth the marginally higher board usage compared with a reverse tuck. It is the reason STE dominates cosmetics and premium retail cartons.
Everything else behaves like a standard folding carton: printed flat, die cut, creased, side-seam glued and delivered flat to be erected at packing.

Board thickness is chosen against carton size and contents. Windows, hang holes, tear strips and internal partitions are all set on the dieline before the cutting die is made, so they need to be agreed at specification stage rather than added later.
We supply or check the dieline and produce a physical sample before the run.

The dieline is checked against the product before the cutting die is made. That check, plus an approved physical sample, is what prevents a full run of cartons that do not quite fit.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between straight tuck and reverse tuck?
On a straight tuck end, both flaps fold in from the rear panel, leaving the front face clean. On a reverse tuck end, the top flap folds from the rear and the bottom from the front, which uses slightly less board but puts a flap edge on the front panel.
Do cartons arrive assembled?
They arrive flat with the side seam already glued. Erecting one is a matter of pushing it square and tucking the flaps, which takes a couple of seconds by hand.
Can I have a window on the front?
Yes. A window can be cut open or fitted with a clear patch. Its position and size are set on the dieline, so confirm it before the cutting die is made.
What board thickness will you use?
It depends on carton size and the weight of the contents. Rather than defaulting to one board, we recommend a thickness for your product and confirm it works on the physical sample.
